About the Event
Explore the fascinating journey of the Gazdar-Bharucha family through their archive, delving into the life of Mr. Keki Gazdar, a mechanical engineer from the industrial township of Tatanagar, capturing moments during his travels, leaving from his family archive, and finally coming back to it towards the end of his meticulously maintained diary. This hands-on workshop combines elements of storytelling, fiction, and archival exploration, offering participants a unique experience in unraveling historical narratives through the lens of personal stories. It aims to guide one on how exactly to step into someone's shoes, in this case the shoes of the photographer–Keki, who was living in realm of the 'sparse' in a township built by his ancestors. Only to cross the seas and find his own eye. Think Truman Show. Think Tatanagar. Know how to Sparsee. Therein lies the description of the workshop. And subsequently, the description of the photobook.
